Head Ale Beer

am i a lucky man?
Whilst enjoying a gentle bike ride, a barrell of beer came off a lorry and landed on my head, no damage done as it was only Light Ale.
A little further on i had the misfortune to get hit by another vehicle, only this time i was not so lucky, my leg got injured, at the hospital they said they would have to amputate, on coming round after the operation, i was informed that they had taken the wrong leg off,and that they would have to remove the other one...I took them to court for compensation, but lost the case, the Judge said i did'nt have a leg to stand on..Im depressed where can i go from here.....
you could go down the book shop and buy a joke book?!

Old Ale $74.88 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Old ale is a term commonly applied to dark, malty beers in England, generally above 5 abv, often also called Winter Warmers; also to dark ales of any strength in Australia. Sometimes associated with stock ale or, archaically, keeping ale, in which the beer is held at the brewery. Historically, old ales served as a complement to mild ales, and in pubs of the era typically the landlord would serve the customer a blend of the sharper stock ale with the fruitier, sweeter mild ale to the customers taste. In London especially, the aged ale would take on a sour, lactic acid note from the continuing fermentation in the cask caused by contamination with natural lactic bacteria. Because of the time required for the aging process, some investors would buy mild ale from brewers, age it into old ale, and sell it at the higher price. Eventually, brewers began to keep some beer behind at the brewery, age it themselves and sell it to the pubs. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Pale Ale $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Pale ale, a variety of beer which uses a top fermenting yeast and predominantly pale malt, is one of the worlds major beer styles.Pale ale was a term used for beers made from malt dried with coke. Coke had been first used for roasting malt in 1642, but it wasnt until around 1703 that the term pale ale was first used. By 1784, advertisements were appearing in the Calcutta Gazette for light and excellent pale ale. By 1830, the expressions bitter and pale ale were synonymous. Breweries would tend to designate beers as pale ale, though customers would commonly refer to the same beers as bitter. It is thought that customers used the term bitter to differentiate these pale ales from other less noticeably hopped beers such as porter and mild. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 120 Publication Date: 2010/08/17 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.28 inches |

Dogfish Head 120 Minute India Pale Ale IPA | Chad'z Beer Reviews
Which beer should I use in my Chili?
I asked this question previously...and it was a tie with the answers...
I have Longboard Island Lager from the Kona Brewery in Hawaii. This beer is my favorite lager, its not very bitter, slightly malty and has a decent head when poured...its a good medium body and a great drinking beer.
I also have Shiner Holiday Brew, its a Wheat Ale, very malty and dark. Its enhanced with peach and pecan flavors that do not overpower it much. But the additional flavors to add some slight sweetness. Its not my favorite beer but a nice after dinner treat.
I'm getting mixed ideas and hoping someone could point me in the right direction rather than just "guessing" what would be better. I know there has to be some cooks on here that use beer and I've heard great things about beer in chili. Help me out please!
I would say the lager.
Normally, I've heard of ales in chili, and thats what I usually use. But the ales I use are usually a pale ale, or a light ale. The Holiday Brew sounds too dark for chili. Since it cooks for a while, chili-beers are best when they're lighter. The Holiday brew sounds too dark. A darker beer can taste great when you're drinking it, but when it cooks, they tend to get really bitter. And plus, all of those other flavors might interfere with the chili.
Your lager sounds good. Not too hoppy and fairly sweet. This should end up being really good, won't get bitter, just add some nice yeasty sweetness.
