Hanging Window Message
When I delete a message opened in a tab, the tab does not close . . .?
. . . it's showing "loading" message instead. Switching to another tab and trying to close inactive one does not work. Sometimes, to get rid of all the hanging tabs I have to close Yahoo and reopen it. The Yahoo! Mail Beta started to misbehave like that few days ago. I'm having that problem in IE7 and Firefox 3 under Windows XP (on different computers), and Firefox 3 under Mac OSX. Does anyone else have this, or is it just me? Thank you.
I'm experiencing the same problem with IE6 under the Windows XP Pro (SP2) . . . definitely not a browser issue.
I am having the same problem here under all of the following conditions:
• FireFox 2 under Windows XP Professional, XP Home and Vista
• FireFox 3 under Windows XP Professional, XP Home and Vista
• IE6 under Windows XP Professional, XP Home
• IE7 under Vista Home
• Opera 9.5.1 under Vista Home
As a result, I don't think this is a browser issue! Seems like Yahoo Mail Beta is having problems. Have reverted to Yahoo! Mail Classic for a few days and then came back to Yahoo! Mail Beta... still having the same problem.
Also, this problem happens to me regardless of how I close the tab in Yahoo Mail Beta... Ctrl-, hit the Escape key, hit the Delete button or click the X on a tab.
(Note: the "tabs" being discussed here are the tabs created by Yahoo Mail Beta when opening an email, not the tabs that are created by a tabbed interface offered by FireFox, IE or Opera.)
I hope someone from Yahoo Mail Beta support is reading.
