Strip Club / Exotic Dancer -- Advice?
Thinking of becoming an exotic dancer - any advice from girls who have had experience?? How to get started/ safety/ any tips?????
First you need to know whether your legal (age) to dance in your state or country.
Where I worked it was 18, but the girls could not drink till 19. Where I live in Canada, we only have full nude bars. If your in America you have more options, such as, do you want to work in a bikini club (18 y/o+ customers no alcohol no/little nude) a topless club (21+ i think, with acholo, and topless) and fully nude (21+, acholo, and full nude but you leave your underwear on stage) Unlike Canada we have to take it off on stage, not in America.
Anyway, think of that - now check if your area requires a license. Then find reviews of the clubs your interested in - the more the customers like it the dirtier it is. Stick away from the dirty clubs - you dont want all the guys asking for THAT. I work in a club that does have dirty girls (every club does) I saw one giving a guy a bj to handjob - im glad I saw nothing more - but the still ruin the money and image of the strip club. I could still make money as a clean dancer - know your limits and set them. Your club will have a dress code, rules and such that the house mom or manager will tell you. ALWAYS take a cab home, drive (best way) or find a trusted driver (2nd best option) never walk by yourself without a bouncer or by yourself. Never give out your real information - ever. Always have a fake name, last name even, where you live, what else you do etc. You'll meet plenty of messed up, nice, rude, nasty, interesting people - do NOT ever believe them. Do NOT ever trust them. Be nice with the girls, but dont make friends - you all are there for money.
So go out check out the clubs as a customer first, see whether its busy, how the girls act, dance, the music, the customer types, the staff ( dont work with a crap staff or that makes you do more) check the house-fees and whether girls have to tip out. Then call up or go in person, ask to be hired.
