Organic Foods And Hcg Weight Loss: Buy Fresh And Local To Lose It

The HCG weight loss program differs from typical diet plans in two distinct ways. First, weight loss is triggered by upping the body's reserves of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin. This hormone regulates the hypothalamus of the brain, prompting it to burn excess adipose fat instead of lean muscle or structural fat.

Second, it relies upon a low-calorie diet that emphasizes fresh foods and lean meats. "Frankenfoods," such as protein bars, shakes, or other processed diet foods, do not enter the picture at all.

Do I Need to Buy Organic Foods to Lose Weight?

The diet emphasizes consuming fresh, whole foods in small quantities to train the body to enjoy smaller portions of healthy foods. There is a great deal of emphasis placed on organic foods, as these foods are free of chemical additives and pesticides. While you do not need to go 100% organic in order to lose weight on the program, there are certain foods that, if you can afford them, you should always purchase the organic versions.

These foods are called "The Dirty Dozen," as they retain the highest amounts of pesticides even after a thorough washing:

  • Apples;
  • Grapes;
  • Peaches;
  • Bell peppers;
  • Celery;
  • Nectarines;
  • Strawberries;
  • Cherries;
  • Pears;
  • Spinach;
  • Lettuce;
  • Potatoes

What's the Link Between Processed Foods and Lack of HCG?

The weight loss program emphasizes organic foods not just for the overall benefit to your health. There is a direct link between processed foods, pesticides, and a lack of the hormone in your body. Although we are all born with a reserve of the hormone, our supply slowly erodes over the years due to chemicals in the foods we eat, the water we drink, and our environment.

By resetting the body's reserve of the hormone and switching to an organic lifestyle, you can lose weight and keep it off for good. Once that reserve is restored and you are eating as many whole, unprocessed, and organic foods as possible, you run a much lower risk of upsetting the body's balance and regaining the weight you've lost.

Begin your weight loss journey with a trip to your local farmer's market or health food store. You will be delighted with the range and freshness of the produce available. Once you have your sublingual drops and your refrigerator stocked with healthy foods, you can begin losing the weight that's been holding you back for years. This is a delicious way to kick off your weight loss journey.
