How To Emulate Cinema In Photos?

I am working on a style of photography that emulates the epic films of the 50's and 60's. Think Dr. Zhivago and My Fair Lady or Lawrence Of Arabia. I have the ability to add fine grain, emulate many film stocks, and even a widscreen filter that goes all the way to Ultra Panavision 70. Many main trouble is the actual size of my photos. I want them to actually be wide, like it was shot on a 65mm camera and not just a 35mm. I have read about "wide screen 16:9" cameras and also Panorama cameras. If I stretch my photos to a cinematic aspect ratio it warps the pic, and then I cannot add my "fake" widescreen bars. What is the best solution? Standing far back from the subject, or buying a new camera? Should I go Panorama or the 16:9? I want it to be as close to what would be in the 50's or 60's as far as size. This is not for movies, this is for still photography. So don't say buy a movie camera!
I have also read on "stitching" a 35mm image twice to create a 65mm look. Any suggestions?

try a linhof TECHNORAMA 617 SIII (6x17 cm) true panoramic camera,

http://www.linhof.de/english/index.html

click on panorama and follow the links to the TECHNORAMA 617 SIII (6x17 cm), you can load any grain in it you want, else your looking at maybe a large large format and cropping the images.

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The cinema of Vietnam originates in the 1920s, and has largely been shaped by wars that have been fought in the country from the 1940s to the 1970s. Better known Vietnamese language films include Cyclo, The Scent of Green Papaya and Vertical Ray of the Sun, all by Frenchtrained Vi t Ki u director Tran Anh Hung. In the 1920s, a group of Vietnamese intellectuals formed the Huong Ky Film Company in Hanoi. It produced documentaries on the funeral of Emperor Khai Dinh and the enthronement of B o i. There was also the silent feature, M t ng k m t u c ng a (A Penny for a Horse). Soft Cinema juxtaposes the aesthetics of software culture, cinema, and architecture into an interactive manifestation of computerdriven films, dynamic visualizations, installations, architectural designs, print catalogs, and DVDs.
