Did white people evolve from black people?
I have heard some things about this. I am not sure either way. I am not racist, please don't take my questions to heart. I am just trying to get credible and enlightening answers. I like to learn from other people's opinions and information. Thank you!
Yes in short, our oldest ancestors lived in africa over 60,000 years ago, in fact every single human on the planet can be traced back there.
With increasing population and need to spread, our ancestors followed migrating herds eventually colonizing the world bit by bit until what we have today. Where ever we went humans adapted (evolved) to the climate and new diet, people moving to more Northern climates lost the Melanin in their skin which in short acts as a photoprotectant, absorbing harmful UV-radiation and transforms it into harmless heat energy.. The lack of Melanin gives us our whiter skin, africans and those along the equator have darker skin based on how we've evolved to cope in different climates.
That is to say we haven't evolved from black people in the sense that caucasions are the more advanced in the timeline, we have evolved equally and in various different ways to keep and lose certain traits that better suit our environment. We are such a multicultured species, and people are always migrating so there will always be diversities in skin colour.

Why can't black girls go in water because of their hair?
They were talking about this on ANTM. Tyra said that white girls don't understand why black girls can't go in the water. I am not black. Please enlighten me
It really depends on the person and what they have done to their hair.
You may know that black hair is usually naturally kinky, it's extremely curly. Some girls don't want to go in the water because they're straightened their hair and getting it wet will make it return to its natural states. This is the same kind of opposition that almost any girl with curly hair may have about it getting wet, it goes back to its natural state.
Some girls have relaxers (chemical products used to straighten the hair). The results won't be as bad as when the hair is simply straightened with heat. The bigger issue is chlorinated pools. The hair is already chemically treated, any more can cause a good amount of damage. Same for girls who have perms.
Some girls have weaves or extensions. If they're glued or clipped in, it can come off in the water. While that may not damage the hair itself, it can be a source of embarrassment.
I personally have never had any problem. I really like swimming, so I'll deal with whatever happens to my hair. I just try to take special care if I'm spending a lot of time in chlorinated waters, but everyone should in those instances.
