Electric Signs Universal gas&electric says that we signed a contract when we did not, what should I do?
They claim that we signed a 5 year contract with them when we didn't and that we now owe them a $250 cancellation fee. Nobody in my family signed this contract and we also didn't give verbal consent. We didn't even know that there was a contract.
Ask for a copy of the supposed contract or the tape of you agreeing to it.

Following the smash hit The Sixth Sense (1999) and the under-performing follow-up Unbreakable (2000), directing phenom M. Night Shyamalan returns to the summer box office landscape that served as the backdrop for his cinematic breakthrough. In Signs, another paranormal outing for the writer-director, Shyamalan explores the eerie implications of a 500-foot crop circle that mysteriously appears on the Bucks County, PA farm of reverend Graham Hess (Mel Gibson). As Hess and his family (Joaquin Phoenix, Rory Culkin, Abigail Breslin) try to take stock of what the sign means, and how its message incorporates into their faith, they start to get the feeling they are not alone in the fields behind their house. Shyamalan re-teams with producers Frank Marshall, Sam Mercer and Kathleen Kennedy, and produces the project in association with his Blinding Edge Pictures banner and Touchstone Pictures. ~ Derek Armstrong, Rovi

The Cost Of Ibc Compliance - Photoluminescent Exit Signs Will Help You Meet Your Building Codes
When mid-sized and large-scale businesses are faced with the sizable list of OSHA and Fire Code regulations, it can seem both pricey and daunting. Implementing new codes have a costly financial impact. The cost of replacing considerable numbers of out-of-date fire exit signs can put a big dent into any budget. Smart managers should weigh all of the choices for cost-effective exit sign compliance. Using photoluminescent exit signs can get you on the path to safety savings.
The United States government itself has stopped installing electric and tritium exit signs in its buildings. Picked by the Federal Energy Management Program as the highest option, photoluminescent products are being positioned in federal properties all over the United States.
Here are three cost-conscious reasons to investigate photoluminescent technology for your business:
1. Cost of Installation: Unlike electric exit signs, photoluminescent exit signs require a minimum of skill to put in place. Many are prepackaged with their own hardware. Best of all, it requires zero electrical work at all.
2. Operation Expenses: having 100 incandescent egress signs eat up $3,500 each year in energy consumption. Taking out electric signs keeps the money in your budget, to be better used in other areas of operation. Maintenance costs lower dramatically as well. No more bulbs to replace. There are no wire shorts or electrical faults to deal with. Photoluminescent signs are simply maintained for more than 25 years with very little work or money.
3. Cost of Disposal: Many businesses still have a radioactive form of self-luminous exit signs called tritium signage. Even though they save costs in operation, these signs demand terribly cautious removal if any destruction occur to the sign itself. Getting rid of tritium exit signs can entail hazardous material removal costing the business money.
Cost is not valued in dollars alone. Cost is also determined in effectiveness and environmental impact. Here are numerous key ways photoluminescent technology will assist to save. In an emergency, electricity often fails first. Sometimes backup generators are not entirely reliable. Safety and reliability should be the first priorities. Photoluminescent exit signs remove the worry of sign failure.
Smoke obstruction can be critical during a fire emergency. The decided visibility of photoluminescent exit signs coupled with the lack of mechanical parts that may fail helps secure quick, safe exit from compromised buildings. Photoluminescent exit signs are ecofriendly. Not having wires and bulbs mean no energy usage. While other self-luminous exit products may also lower energy use, they weigh on the environment through the necessary control of their luminous agent, radioactive tritium. CO2 production is decreased by nearly half a million pounds, each year, with a 100-sign installation in one site. Even better, photoluminescent signs are 100% recyclable.
