High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Warmbloods are a group of middleweight horse types and breeds, primarily originating in Europe, registered with organizations that are characterized by open studbook policy, studbook selection, and the aim of breeding for equestrian sport. The term distinguishes these horses from both heavy draft horses ( cold bloods ) and refined light saddle horses such as the Thoroughbred and Arabian ( hot bloods ). Though modern Warmbloods are descended from heavier agricultural types systematically upgraded by hotblood influence, the term does not imply that Warmbloods are direct crosses of cold and hot. It is thought that the Warmblood type, which originated in continental Europe, descended from a landrace of wild, native protowarmblood ancestors, and possibly trace back to a wild prototype called the Forest Horse. Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Dutch Harness Horse, or Tuigpaard, is a warmblood type of fine driving horse that has been developed in the Netherlands since the end of World War II. Their studbook is kept by the Koninklijk Warmbloed Paardenstamboek Nederland (Royal Warmblood Horse Studbook of the Netherlands) or KWPN. The breed is based on the native Groningen and Gelderland horses, which were formerly indispensable in agriculture and transportation services. Strict selection procedures and a clear breeding aim enabled breeders to produce a refined, highstepping horse within a few decades. While with 40 sires and fewer than 2,000 broodmares the population is not large, Dutch Harness Horses are highly recognizable. In the past few years, a handful have come to North America, where they are owned by devotees of sport horses and Saddle seat horses alike. $66.91

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Danish Warmblood (Dansk Varmblod) is the modern sport horse breed of Denmark. Initially established in the mid20th century, the breed was developed by crossing native Danish mares with elite stallions from established European bloodlines. The Danish Warmblood registry was established in mid20th century. The registry oversees the registration of Danish warmblood foals and approves stallions for breeding. As with most warmblood studbooks, only stallions who meet certain standards are permitted to breed. Foals with approved pedigrees may receive a brand depicting a crown over a wave. One of the more recent of the selectively bred European competition horses is the Danish Warmblood, whose stud book wasnt opened until the 1960s. In a relatively short space of time, however, Danish breeders have succeeded in producing a competition horse they claim to be of superior quality and more versatility than many of the European breeds. Taskaria - 7 YO Imported Dutch Warmblood

Is there such thing as a chestnut tobiano Dutch Warmblood?

I know there can be tobiano Dutch Warmbloods due to Samber, but have there been any chestnut tobianos? I can't seem to find any. Also, just to clarify, these horses can compete in showing events like show jumping and dressage, right?

Here's an example of the coloring I mean: http://dragonflyeyes.org/riata/mod15.jpg
(I'm not sure if the horse in the pic is a Dutch Warmblood, though. Is there any way to tell? The site I got it from is a fictional site, by the way, so no luck there.)

Yes, Dutch Warmbloods can compete in just about any event, but excel in the sport horse disciplines such as dressage and jumping.

Try looking up a DWB sire called Art Deco. I know that he is a pinto, but I don't know what pattern.
