My Personal Guide To End Shyness And Start Meeting Women

If you are timid, meeting girls will certainly be something you have difficulty with as a man.  Girls are likely to be less aggressive, but men really need to give up being timid if they want any kind of luck in dating.

Don't fear, I understand where you're coming from.  I myself was once very timid.  In truth, I was so timid that most of the people I attended school with don't know who I am.  Nearly everybody just looked through me in those days.  Things got a little bit better while attending college, but I did not really try and quit being timid until I found myself dumped by my ex girlfriend with only one friend on the earth.

Something needed to be done.

This is how I overcame shyness, and I am going to propose you do it too if you would like to quit being shy and finally get some social confidence:

You're going to start moving yourself out of comfort zone.  We're going to make this incremental so don't be nervous about being tossed into the deep end too early.

The first thing I did was I made a decision that I would just say "hi" to a hundred people in a week.  This appears to be tons of work at first.  Actually, if you're as shy as I used to be, this may could be seen as quite a frightening thing to do.  But please bear with me.

Keep a small note card for you to record how many people you said "hi" to.  The very first handful of times will seem really strange, but don't call it quits.  After several times, it will seem better.

Talk to strangers taking walks down the street or waiting at a bus stop or in line at the deli.  Just simply say "hello" without any expectations of how they may react.  How they reply means nothing about you.  You are simply being nice.  Remember that.  How they reply only lets you know what kind of person they are.  If you say "hello," then consider it a victory however they reply.

What we're working at here is slowly becoming used to the thought of going outside yourself and interacting with strangers.  You are also teaching you one of the most important considerations you will learn to be able to quit being shy, which is to detach yourself from how people react to you.

When you're finished with the first week, make your target for the second week to start a discussion with twenty people.  Maintain the same attitude and just begin something simple by making observations about stuff you see.  You could try "Hey, did you get the cinnomon muffin?  Is it any good??" or "Hey, that is a very nice shirt.  Where did you get it?"

Again, we are getting you to quit being timid by pushing you outside your personal comfort zone.  Don't worry about talking to girls that you'd like to date.  Talk to pretty much everybody.  If you perfect this skill on guys and retirees, then you'll be prepared to be warm and social when it is important–when you find a woman you want to connect with.

This is how I got myself to stop being timid.  It's going to really work if you stay with it.  So commit to taking two weeks to start getting yourself past your comfort zone.  It could seem scary at first, but I assure you that the dread goes away completely after some time and, believe it or not, it will actually become enjoyable to meet new people.
