Cookies Cafe Cake

Is this a good idea?
I'm 23 years old and have been baking ever since I was little. I love to do it and from what people say I think I'm good at it. I do cookies, pies, cakes, decorated cakes, breads, etc. I have no professional experience, but I do a lot of research on my own. My husband and I were thinking of opening up a small bakery/cafe in our area. There is nothing around us like it. Obviously we need to do a lot of research, planning, etc before we venture into, but I was just wondering... After we do our business research, etc... Would it be wise for me to go into this without any professional experience? I think my skills are good, and I have the patience and determination to make this work. But I guess my question is: Can someone be a successful baker without any pastry education, etc?
Of course you can do it. You can do anything you put your mind to. Just keep that determination. A small family owned bakery and coffe shop might add some charm to your area. depending on what kind of area your in. It may draw in customers, simply because its more personal. I would definatly take some business classe before you just jump into it though.
