I feel bad, he likes me, I don't like him?
He comes to my work every Saturday or Thursday, only to see me I swear! He talks about me to his friends extensivley.
He is a sweet guy, but there are things about him that turn me off. I might have led him on by being too friendly, but that is my nature. Also, now I have kept my distance and been more careful, but I don't think he gets it.
I am not being shallow. I actually had a tiny crush on him before. I can't even exactly pinpoint what I don't like about him, but I get this feeling about him that is wrong, and it occurred after I got to know him a little better. I guess you could call it woman's intution to subconcious logic?
There is something wrong, and it bothers me that he visits me at work all the time posing to buy things. He also shows tiny signs of being controlling, like telling me what color I should paint my nails? lol
How can I distance him without hurting his feelings? How can avoid him asking me out, because I have a feeling he is going to try soon?
You are going to hurt his feelings, the question is how much. Most of the other responders want to be kind, but their answers will torture him. Not interested now means to him you'll be interested later. The girlfriend fixup is a double tease, maybe the girlfriend will be good, and at least she will let him hang out around you until you might change your mind. Girls usually hurt more trying to avoid hurting. You cannot avoid hurting feelings. Treat him like a man and if he asks you out say straight up you are not interested. If you change your mind later it is easy to find a reason that he is now more attractive. You can't undo the hurt of weeks or months of maybe. Be straight up and honest.
