What are some ways I can include my family's beautiful vintage teacups in my wedding reception?
I have these beautiful vintage teacups (designers and collectibles) that have passed through my family for a long time. They are absolutely gorgeous. My wedding has a vintage feel and I'd love to showcase them but at the same time make sure they're safe. I'm thinking a display by the guest book? I don't want people thinking they can just take them and sip their coffee out of them, and I don't want them to get stolen either!
well thats the tricky thing. ask yourself this, do you have to absolutely have to have them or can you have copies. your right to not want to get them broken or messed with to much. i personally believe that if its in your familly and to be passed down someday i wouldnt bring them at all. just because there keepsakes, and if they get chiped which some people are clumsey, or even stolen. people at weddings like to take all the free things they can have. i would say have them as a center piece with flowers but again people like to take things. i think your better to have fakes out there. that way if something does happen,which it will. at least you wont hate yourself forever over people being clumsey.goodluck.
