"water damage" to razr phone?
i was at a foam party at a club and figured however wet i got, it wouldn't be enough to soak through to my phone, but apparently i was wrong. i look at my phone to see the time, and the screen is white. i try turning it off and on, still white. then the screen didn't work. the next day, when i turn it on, the buttons light up and it vibrates but no sounds or screen. now, its charging, the battery apparently works, and hopefully the information is there. i can hear the sounds now, and can actually dial numbers, but the screen still doesn't. verizon is being a bitch, and since i bought the phone this year, and we dont have insurance on it for the water damage, im fucked. i have to pay full retail value - $219, or $229 if i can get my data off it. people, im a high schooler making minimum wage at jewel. my parents might be willing to pay half, but its just such a disappointment after trying to save up. is there reason to believe the screen will get better if i wait a few more days?
i dropped my phone in the water and after a few days it was still flashing a white screen so i thought what the heck so i got out the hair dryer and took off the back and also took out the battery and then i dryed it for like 15 minutes from every angle and somehow the screen came back , it had a little water that you could see but it worked fine!!
