I'm a smoker and I'm sick of the grief we get. We get blamed for absolutely everything. The NHS is overloaded, blame the smokers. Global warming, blame the smokers, someone falls over on a banana skin, blame the smokers.
Fine, smoking is very very bad for you and yes passive smoking is damaging to others.
But this smoking ban is disgraceful. It should be up to the landlords of pubs and clubs. Pubs have been smoking since God was a boy and it was a fundamental thing to just be able to order a pint and light up a tab with your mates. Now the PC Brigade have sucessfully managed to ruin that one.
Personally I don't see the problem with having non-smoking and smoking sections in pubs, clubs and resturaunts. It seemed to work pretty well. As far as I could tell, no non-smokers ever complained about inhaling smoke in a non-smoking section.
This is is just the beginning you understand, soon they'll ban alchohol because the want to cater for those in pubs that "don't drink".
Try not to smoke very often these days-but everyone should have the right to smoke in a traditional pub-fcuk Witherspoons and the like-they're not pubs!!-and cater for the lowest common unwashed denominator.The country is run by queers and health fascists-who do more harm to society with their political correctness and vile sexual habits than fags(sic)-could ever do.Freedom of choice mate-they'll tax you on shagging next(if you're straight!!)-wait and see...............................................................................................................
