Tiki Bar in Atehns GA???

I saw a Tiki Bar profiled on TV in Athens GA, but can't find it in the phone book or online, or by calling 411. I'd like to go to it next time I am nearby, does anyone know where it is or the name to look in the phone book for it? If not, or if it is closed, any other places for someone over college age in that area would be good too. No Atlanta places please....

Could it be?:

Allgood Lounge
256 E Clayton St
Athens, GA 30601
(706) 549-0166

It's "all good" at Allgood Lounge. This big, two-story bar has no food, but around 75 bottled beers and four drafts (two of which are usually from Terrapin). A variety of bottles from Sweetwater, Samuel Smith's, Fuller's, Ommegang, Sierra Nevada and Anchor grace the cooler shelves. Notice that the front door sits beside two large roll up garage doors (the place was an autoshop in a former life), and be sure to walk upstairs to enjoy the outdoor tiki bar and two pool tables. Hours are 4 PM to 2 AM Monday through Saturday.

Check out the link below - It's #3!

When an aspiring actress from the Hawaiian Islands moves to the mainland in order to study drama, a malicious prank gone horribly awry sets the stage for terror in director Ron Ford's mythologically-infused frightener. Hawaiian born and bread, Amy has come to the realization that in order to truly refine her skills as an actress she'll have to move to the mainland. Unfortunately a closed-minded group of vicious co-eds have made it their goal to make Amy's higher education a living hell. When Amy is left brain dead as a result of a malevolent practical joke, her loving aunt Maelea sets out to find the truth about the grim fate that befell her niece. Maelea isn't about to let a bad deed go unpunished either, because when she learns that her niece has fallen victim to the cruelest kind of prank imaginable, she captures the young girl's vengeful spirit in a special tiki doll that springs to life and sets out to track down Amy's tormentors for some gruesome supernatural payback. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Graceful man

This tale is a tale that requires you to see what words are read, as though watching the event unfold before your eyes. You must listen to the words as well, as though hearing them with your ears. Feel the words, as though your skin can feel their touch. Stay attached to the tale until it is told. You are living in the creation of these words and in doing so, making it so it really happened. Try it, and see.....

The sun is setting, red and large, it is a short distance from the horizon. The sky is clear and stars already shine above. A sliver of moon sits opposite the sun, faintly visible in the east. You feel the strong breeze blow around you as you move high above the canopy of trees and rock below. Arms outstretched and head back the moving air ruffles your hair, making it dance with delight. The sound buffets your ears as you soar. Pockets of cool currents refresh you as you begin to swoop towards a bare rock that rivals the sun for position in the sky. A swoop around the summit of rock, just below its flat peak. The wind whistles around you as you gain speed. You soar straight up above the stone until the speed is lost and you drift, spiraling, arms still outstretched.
Beneath you a lone man moves up the stone’s spine. He wears only a loincloth and his skin is darkly tanned. His hair is braided and is long. Feathers adorn his braid and they dance in the breeze along his back. He moves slow but with purpose. Reaching the top of the stone and standing on the edge facing the setting sun, he looks to the north, then south, back to the east, then gazes back towards the sun.

You swoop to look closer at this man. Downward you fall gaining speed once again. Ears full of wind, you circle him from behind in a wide bank until you see his face. It is painted with black smudges on his cheeks and forehead. His eyes are hard and dark. You drift back, away from the ledge and over the sun painted trees far below.
He stomps his left foot hard on the rock then, bending slightly forward, begins to dance. Soft sounds of his voice reach you in a rhythmic song. His hard gaze hidden behind closed eyelids, he dances using small hops and moving in circles. His head moves down his chest then back to the sky and he dances. His voice builds in intensity as his movements begin to speed up. The sound is like this, “Hium ah tiki tak he yaht. Hiyaum ah Tiki hough ahhhm. Hey hey ho oh, ho oh aa....hey hey ho oh, ho oh aa.” He repeats the song many times. The pitch changes throughout as though it was a new song each time sung. The pitch and tempo of the words reach you as if they were notes made through an instrument and not a mans throat. The hairs on your neck begin to stand as his dancing becomes harder and faster. His arms held out from his sides, as though they were wings of a bird, he dips and hops and turns.

You begin to drift higher, watching this mystical man move fluidly and sing with silky smoothness. Directly overhead of him you see his dance moves in circles joined to circles; Three circles linked. You spiral slowly down to the man. The sun touches the horizon and the part-moon has grown brighter. The breeze has stilled and it is as if the world paused, waiting for something. You hover just past the ledge when the song and dance end abruptly. The absence of his voice makes the air grow deafening with its silence. He faces you and looks straight through you. Expression hard and eyes fierce, fist clenched and held on either side of his hips, he screams out with great intensity. The veins stand out in his neck and on his forehead and his fierce eyes hidden once again behind tightly closed lids. Body taught and muscles flexed, mouth opened wide and redden face he pours himself into his scream. A scream to make all hear his anger. His scream lasts long and you feel it vibrate into your soul. As the sound of his anger grew weaker, his breath failing him, he did not stop his effort to scream. The voice cracked and become horse then faded to a breathy whisper to no sound, yet he continued to strain in a soundless fury. The seconds past and he stood frozen in his rage. Heavy veins began to stand out on his chest, shoulders, and arms. You remain perfectly still watching, mesmerized, waiting to see how long he might hold this frozen scream. With one great breath the man draws in air, head up and back, arms held high infront of him, he lets out a another scream. It is louder then the first. This time his scream changes. He drops hard to his knees, letting his arms fall weakly to the ground, his head fall to his chest, his scream turns to crying. You hear the cry, the cry of a man who does not cry easily. High pitch sounds of air moving through a tight throat in small hitches. Grief and sorrow, raw and open, pours from him. His grief continues as his body shakes with his tears. You hear his broken voice as his stomach clenches and unclenches, moans and sobs released without shame.

You slowly drift around him as he cries, a heaviness attached to your body. You circle him once, twice, a third time before settling along side of him. He no longer cries and has been silent for a few moments now. Still on his knees, he raises his head and looks to where the sun sunk beneath the horizon. The sky is still light in the west and is bright enough for you to see his face. His eyes have grown softer, his cheeks swollen from his tears. He stares straight ahead, unmoving. The minutes pass. As the dark of night erases the details of his features, you remain kneeling on the stone beside him, you wait, same as the world was waiting.

Time looses way to being and the two of you kneel upon the rock, lightly illuminated by the moon-sliver. No sound of insects nor sounds of night animals can be heard. No breeze can be felt. It would seem the stone you both kneel upon ceased being a stone and became a cloud, silently floating in the sky. The man drew his hands together making a loud clapping sound. Once, twice, three times he clapped his hands. On the third clap, the world snapped back into place and with it, came the sounds of insects and the night animals. With it came the breeze, fresh and cool. The man spoke slow and clear. He said, “Thank you spirit. Thank you for honoring me today. Man has forgotten the world and the world suffers. My heart fills with sorrow. It breaks for the world. I can see no way to save her. So I dance for her. I sing for her. I rage for her. And I cry for her. Go now spirit. Go back into the lands embrace. Bring with you my love for the land. Bring with you the knowledge that there are still some who care. Go now spirit.”

You float up and away from him. You feel light again. You soar higher and higher towards the stars. Washed and renewed with vibrant energy you spread your arms wide and begin to spiral again. The song of the man echos in your mind and the image of him dancing plays behind your closed eyes. You feel yourself spreading thiner and expanding, melding into the sky. Before you rejoin the world, you look back downwards towards the rock, towards the tanned man with markings on his face, and you imagine you see him descending along the spine of that rock. You whisper into the winds....”Thank you graceful man. Thank you for honoring me today...”
