Circulator Fan
A friend spilled a huge mug of coffee down my dashboard and my sterio stopped working. Worried other damage?
A friend came into my car with a huge mug of coffee and she forgot about it- as I pulled out it created a force of damage that I have never seen from any liquid in my life. It saturated my car- everywhere- carpet, back seat, front seat, inside my sude purse, all over my clothes- and most and worst- into the nooks and crannies of my dashboard.
My stereo stopped working. It's stuck on 97.5. It powers on but does not change stations- CD doesn't work. Also below that lie the buttons for my a/c, defroster and fan/air circulator.
I have an appt. at the Honda dealer (Honda CRV) in 2 days to have them take out the radio and inspect the damage. Do you think it could have hurt anything else? I am getting my car detailed on Monday.
The purse- is shot.
i would think it would be ok once it dries, if it didn't melt any of the wire cover, leaving the bare wire exposed, or melted because it was hot, otherwise it that's ok, and it was sweetened with sugar, causing a sticky mess then once it dries out is should be ok..wow, hope your friend is helping you out with the cost of this, and would have made more sense had she used a cup holder if the vehicle had one, or just had you hold it for a minute, right? good luck, i will try to remember this so that i don't take off with someone have a cup in the car..might stop that now
