Cigarette Bar
I smoked a couple of cigarette while I was out at the bar, not thinking. I am on Birth control. will it hurt?
What about second hand smoke?
Sheesh! I don't think I wanna take them even without smoking!!
It's important not to smoke while you're on hormonal birth control because both things increase the risks of heart attack and blood clots. Both of which hurt, alot...
I'm 21 and just got blood clots due to birth control a couple months ago... and I've never smoked, so you put yourself at a higher risk than I was. I had many clots which all went to my lungs, causing chest pain and difficulty breathing. I can personally tell you that it was the worst experience of my life, the pain was worse than when I broke my leg. I spent three days in the hospital, I will be on anticoagulation pills for atleast 6 months and I have to get a blood test every week. And you should see my bills! I can no longer take birth control with estrogen. My doctors informed me that 1/3 of people with pulmonary embolism do not live... 25% die instantly.
So please, don't smoke while you're on birth control.
