Would auto shop in highschool better my chances of becoming an air force engineer?
I'm starting my junior year and I've signed up for auto shop. It's an ROP program and if I pass the class I will be a certified mechanic. The class is like being an intern. So I I take this class my junior and snior year will it better my chances in becoming an air force engineer? If not then what are some good classes I should take?

Well, understand that Engineering jobs are for Officers who already have degrees in that field of study. so if you have your heart on being an Engineer in the Air Force, then you need a college degree in the field of engineering.
There are Enlisted positions related to Engineering, but it does not give you the same education or credentials as Officers have. You would need to speak with an Air Force Recruiter and then take the ASVAB to qualify for this position. See:

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence grants Automotive Service Excellence or ASE certification to automotive professionals and technicians. The independent non profit organization founded in 1972 seeks the improvement of the quality of automotive service and repair in the United States. To achieve this goal, it provides opportunities for voluntary testing and certification to automotive service professionals and technicians.
ASE certification is not a single general certification for the industry. Specific ASE certifications are given for each of the various industry-driven specializations. This includes many categories spanning the various aspects of automotive service. In order to be ASE certified, a technician submits documentary proof for at least two years of work experience in the category applied for, and then has to pass the appropriate specialty test. Administration of the tests is done by ACT, another separate independent non-profit organization known for administering college entrance exams. ACT also develops tools for assessment, research, information, and program management in workforce development.
Written ASE certification tests are given in May and November every year, at 750 sites scattered throughout the United States. About 100,000 technicians take them each year. In addition to the written tests, computer-based exams are given twice a year in 200 locations.
A separate certification test is given for each major area of automotive repair. There are eight tests for auto technicians covering Heating and Air Conditioning, Suspension and Steering, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Automatic Transmissions, Engine Repair, Engine Performance, Electrical/Electronic Systems and Brakes. There are also specialization tests for collision repair technicians, engine machinists and parts specialists.
Once a technician acquires ASE certification, this has to be renewed every five years through retesting. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence requires this to make sure that all ASE certified technicians keep themselves updated on technological developments in the field.
With the ASE certification, automotive service professionals and technicians gain the right to display the ASE insignia on their uniforms. The insignia and the ASE signage may also be displayed in the auto repair shops that employ these ASE certified automotive service professionals and technicians.
If at least 75% of the staff of an auto repair shop is ASE certified, and if there is an ASE certified automotive service professional or technician for every service offered by the shop, it can be given the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence under the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program (BSRP). Such auto repair shops are evaluated yearly to renew their recognition. This means they need to ensure that the credentials of their staff are updated, as well.
