i have Retail Security Kit – 4 CCTV Cameras & B&W Monitor
which is 4 cameras and a lil TV and ive got it all plugged in to the vcr and the tv and i can see all 4 cameras but i dont know how to record, if i put a normal video into the vcr and play i can hear it but not see it on the tv and when i press record on a blank tape it doesnt record - so anyone who possibly knows the solution, please answer or any suggestions. please thanks ^_^
It all depends on how the cameras hook up to the vcr if they go through the monitor first it should have a video out jack where you can connect it to a vcr. If your trying to hook the cameras into the vcr itself you need a bus to get the four separate video signals into a single video output. Most people go with either the video out from the monitor or hook the cameras to a multi camera DVR system which has an internal hard drive for recording and playback and generally record longer than a vcr as well.

Is CCTV Video Equipment useful?
CCTV Video Equipment (other wise known as Closed Circuit Television) has been used for the purpose of security surveillance for many years. It differs from broadcast TV equipment as that every part is linked by cables or other direct means. Closed Circuit Television is used by security teams most often where there is a high need for extra security measures. Most all banks, airports and many apartment complexes incorporate it into their security programs.
CCTV Video Equipment was originally developed to help strengthen security in banks however lately there has been some debate over privacy issues with the usage of Closed Circuit Television. As technology has advanced CCTV Video Equipment has become quite simple and inexpensive to use making it a popular choice for home security and for use in surveillance by many private investigators.
The United Kingdom worked in developing systems as a result of terrorist bombings in the 1970's and 1980's. Today in England there are Closed Circuit TV equipment in many bus stations, public areas and apartment buildings.
