Do most college football stadiums not sell beer?
I have been attending the USF home football games for the past few years now. The Bulls play in Tampa at Raymond James Stadium which is home to the Buccaneers and I have gotten used to enjoying a nice frosty beer sold at the concession stands during the game. This weekend I went up to Orlando to watch USF play UCF who has their own stadium on campus. I was shocked to find out that the stadium did not sell beer because it’s located on campus. I was just wondering if this is normal for all colleges with stadiums on campus. I used to think that an on campus stadium would be great for USF but after seeing how chaotic it was to park/tailgate at UCF and not being able to buy beer at the stadium kind of have me rethinking that.
College stadiums do not sell beer because most of the students are underage. It would be a nightmare checking ID's. At Michigan we cannot take any liquids into the stadium, not even an open bottle of water.
If you can't watch a game without a beer, stay home and watch it on TV.
