Boxing Gloves Club
Can you teach yourself boxing (and be good at it)?
I'm gonna buy a punchbag and some gloves and i'd like to learn how to box properly. (enough to beat anyone who attacks me or a loved one). I've been told I punch pretty hard, and i'm pretty strong, but I tire out easily.
are there any good videos out there (or any tips?). There arent any boxing club I can go to.

Well as you can imagine boxing is a full contact sport and requires not only talent (natural) but also skills you can only developed by being couched.
Even if you find a gym to train you will find that boxing is really hard. There are no videos that I know, and to be honest, if you want to just learn for personal satisfaction try to practice a sport that allows you to fulfill your need for punching (martial arts for example).
Now if you really feel a Passion for boxing, in order to have a chance to be successful in this sport you need to attend a prestigious gym where you can have a better chance to get really good at it. This may imply that you need to relocate.
Most good gyms are in the big cities and they will tell you honestly if you really have the talent to become a boxer.
I will start by visiting a big gym and ask for a try out. Better to know if you really got it or not.
