Is the way that I propagated Japanese Maples good?
So I took a semi-hard cutting, with about four leaves, took a tiny pot with no drain holes, put some of this stuff that drains very well, put a thin layer of pebbles over that, and then put a layer of soil on top, stuck the cutting in, watered it a little, and since I don't have a misting chamber, I put a water bottle over the pot to keep the leaves moisturized, plus I put some chicken crap in it for fertilizer. Is this good?

I've had pretty good luck with propagating to date. Did you cut it on a node? Or pull it to create a heel? Just cutting in the middle of the stem somewhere won't do you much good.
Things I would do differently than you did:
*Terracotta pot with drain hole - drainage is important amd terracotta "breathes", which aids in rooting and cuts back on rotting.
*Use one mix and fill the pot with it (just add some gravel to the very bottom of the pot) I use 2 parts top soil to 1 part sand and 1 part perlite.
*The DIY cloche is a good idea, but I cut most leaves off as well and reduce large leaves by half (across the main leave vein, not with it) to reduce moisture loss.
*Would never use fertilizer until rooting has been accomplished, especially one high in nitrogen like chicken poo - nitrogen causes leaf growth which is the last thing you want while trying to root.
