How long does it take to reach 360 degrees F?

I'm frying coconut-beer battered shrimp in a pot of oil. It says to add the shrimp when the oil reaches 360 degrees F. However, I don't have a thermometer or anything else that may help me tell the temperture. Does anyone know appx. how long it might take?

When cooking with oil you should have a thermometer. But here's a hint, if the oil starts smoking.....RUN!!!

Anyway, my deep fryer (Fry Daddy) reaches 400 degrees in about 10 minutes. The answer above is soooo wrong it's not even funny!

what happens to my beer if?

i have beer fermenting in my closet but im afraid that it might be too warm.
the thermometer that is sitting next to it (room Temperature)
is saying that it is roughly 72 degrees. its an ale and ive seen online that it should be at 67 degrees max. what difference will it make to my final beer if i do both the fermenting and the carbonation stages at this Temperature?

To be honest, the 72-degree temp shouldn't make much of a difference....I typically ferment my ales around 70-deg and have never had a problem. I'd say it's more important to keep it at a constant 72 than it would be to keep it somewhere that might fluctuate between 67-71. Bottom line, you should be fine - don't sweat it.
