Beer Huge

In the US, do taxes make that much of a difference in the price of the average beer?
Between states, how much of the price of beer are taxes to blame? Is there a huge difference in the price of beer between states like there is with cigarettes? How much cheaper would beer get if the government got rid of all beer taxes? Is the Government really to blame for the high beer prices or not? Why or why not?
According to the gov't; smokers, drinkers and gun owners are sinners. Therefore we have to pay SIN TAXES. Many states have added on more to the federal taxes. Taxes have a huge effect on prices. You must be from the NE where they have gone bonkers with taxes.

London Beer Flood $71.7 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The London Beer Flood occurred on October 17, 1814 in the parish of St. Giles, London, England. At the Meux and Company Brewery on Tottenham Court Road, a huge vat containing over 135000 imperial gallons (610000 L) of beer ruptured, causing other vats in the same building to succumb in a domino effect. As a result, more than 323000 imperial gallons (1470000 L) of beer burst out and gushed into the streets. The wave of beer destroyed two homes and crumbled the wall of the Tavistock Arms Pub, trapping teenaged employee Eleanor Cooper under the rubble.
