Yes, they are most commonly called 'Glow Sticks' although there are some other knock off brands. I was in our local Big & Small Lots (also called Odd Lots, Big Lots) and they had a BUNCH in there, of different sizes from the large sticks down to ear rings, on sale.
They are sealed in a foil package to keep them fresh, once removed, you bend them to break the inner lining which mixes the glow chemicals, then shake them for a few seconds and they glow for up to 12 hours.
If you do not use them very long, you can stick the larger ones in a freezer and they will sometimes hold the glow until the following night, altho they will not be quite as bright.
