Bar Bakery Design
Do you think urban planning/design in the US will change?
After all, it's up to the consumer to consume wisely, is it not? I have grown tired of surburbia because it's expensive, it's aesthetically unbearable, and natural resources frequently go to waste there. I like being able to walk to the bakery and ride my bike home from the bar; apparently, millions of Americans simpy don't care. That, or they LIKe staring at vast expanses of asphalt and vinyl siding while stuck in traffic. I guess they LIKE being fat, too.
Are they just dumb?
I believe we have painted ourselves into a corner. In the near future, for economic reasons, we will have to stop with the urban sprawl and begin rehabilitating older neighborhoods and repurposing older structures. As each acre of land is cleared for another Levitown type neighborhood, we are slowly erasing the very reason people originally moved to the suburbs.

Carmel From The Sea Has Gone For The Dogs
When your canine is begging for a getaway what greater location is there to go for a doggone good time than Carmel by the Sea, California, acclaimed as the most dog-friendly town in America.
Located a number of hours south of San Francisco, the town of Carmel presents visitors several enjoyable pet activities and accommodations for four-legged friends and their owners.
Here are eight dog friendly activities to enjoy with Fido and Fluffy...
l. Carmel beach is exactly where all the dogs roam free off leash... It is located proper at the foot of Ocean Avenue, and is officially known as Carmel Town Beach. You'll find dogs galore splashing, swimming, running and chasing one an additional here. At some designated times, you'll find also canine clubs, having a pack of daschunds, or other breeds of dogs having their fun from the sand.

4. Only in Carmel is there Carmel Canines, a mobile salon and health spa for pooches which provides dogs manicures and pedicures for four legged furry creatures.
5. Dine together
The Cypress Inn owned by Doris Day welcomes well behaved dogs within the lobby to eat breakfast with their owners. They also offer daily Doggie Cocktail Hour in the Library bar. The Cypress Inn displays a "Dictionary of Dogs" near the fireplace just in case you desire to read about your pampered pooches breed.

6. A few places to rest you and your puppy's paws
The Vagabond House Inn provides doggie amenities including a portable doggie bed, take house toy, treats, bowl and scarf. Breakfast is delivered to your door in the morning, plus there is often a wine and cheese tasting from the afternoon inside lobby. Stay in a two room suite with a queen bed, couch, writing desk, and fireplace. Plus, a refrigerator, coffee maker and dining table.
