photography class help!!!!?
so i completed this "word bank" of photography class. but im not sure if i did it right...can you guys tell me what i got wrong plz!! 
1) flash bounces off the pink "retina" of your eyes.
2) "bouncing" light off of a white surface instead of aiming the flash directly at the subject, will result in softer, more natural looking light.
3)"fill-in" flash can be use to get rid of the shadows on a person who is backlit by a window.
4)both fill-in flash and bounce flash can be used to illuminate "natural light"
5) aiming the camera directly at a person's face while using a built-in flash is likely to result in "red eye".
6)you must be in a blacked out room in order to set up a photograph lit by "open flash".

Your instructor seems to be lazy and is using a "canned" test which has some major flaws, which tells me your instructor has never worked as a pro and may really be a football coach.
1) flash bounces off the pink "retina" of your eyes. The "redeye" effect only happens when the flash is too close to the axis of the lens. The very bright light from the flash passes into the eye through the pupil, reflects off the fundus at the back of the eyeball. The red-eye effect is due to the color of the fundus, which is due to melanin, a pigment, principally located in the retinal pigment epithelium
2) is sort of right in that harsh shadows are not produced, but sometimes the "natural" light IS harsh.
3) It is called "flash fill" not fill-in flash ... and it is used for much more that just shooting a subject that is backlit.
4) This is completely wron'g ... to shoot in natural light, NO additional light is used.
5) Maybe .. many new cameras have anti-redeye schemes that can reduce or eliminate redeye all together.
6) Open flash while used in a studio environment, is just one type of light modification. As long as the light from the "open flash" is about five stops brighter than the room light, it does not matter.
Since we do not know what the other options are, we will have to hold back on how lazy or uninformed your instructor is.
In my classes there are no "tests". All grades are based upon class participation including participation in class critiques of the work produced for each assignment, points give for both technical and creative when completing the assignments given in class (50% T and 50% C) and a review of the class notes taken during lectures and the students journal. Each student can raise their grade one level by doing an extra credit project agreed upon by the student and instructor no later than half way through the semester.
